![]() ![]() “Family Man” - There’s some good stuff here but I find the lyrics and deep vocals to be very cheesy. “Little Lies” - That synthesizer sound is my religion. Not my favorite song here but it’s pleasant. “Mystified” - Does anybody know if Lana Del Rey has ever spoken about this song? Christine’s vocals remind me so much of Lana for some reason. “Tango in the Night” - I appreciate the hard rocking nature of this but upon my first listen, I found the second half of this song to be too overblown. It reminds me of some Peter Gabriel stuff, and that’s a compliment. “Caroline” - Why have I never heard this on the radio? I love the percussion and the intensity of the hook. “Everywhere” - I feel like Christine McVie’s vocal style really vibes with this understated style of synth pop. I’m very unsold on the chopped grunts though. “Big Love” - I love the galloping beat and the hook. If you are interested, I’ll be going into detail about my thoughts on each song. I found this to be a very interesting listening and something of a time capsule into the 1980s. ![]() ![]() But my old folks were not big into 80s synth pop so I was never exposed to this album until very recently. I love those records and listen to them often. My parents always played Rumors and its self titled predecessor around the house growing up. ![]()
